A bit about Terry...

 

"I was born in Tottenham, North London, and grew up in Potters Bar, Hertfordshire.  I now live in Stotfold, Hertfordshire, with my wife Jan, who is as passionate about my work as I am. 

 

I discovered painting at an early age and every spare moment was found drawing, sketching or painting.  When I was a teenager I painted my first family portrait of my Mother, Father and Brother, sitting in their front room. 

 

It was entered into the Royal Academy of Arts Exhibition.

 

I studied at St. Albans School of Art, where I completed a

BA-Hons Degree in 2D Design.  I then worked as a Commercial Artist for many years, but my passion was always for painting.

 

I work in acrylics, watercolour, mixed media, and like to explore other mediums, such as pastels, gouache and pen and ink. 

 

I take my inspiration from many sources. I have travelled extensively, and my sketchbook is usually a digital camera, which I find very useful, especially when time is in short supply.

 

I paint landscapes, vibrant abstracts, figurative studies and everything else that inspires me.  My art is reasonably priced and would enhance any wall in your home!"
